Basement Cleanup, Damage Remediation, & Waterproofing
When disaster strikes, you can be left with a basement that has been transformed from your favorite hangout into a hazard. After all, if resting water goes unattended, your basement can turn into a haven for dangerous mold which can end up infiltrating your whole home. Fortunately, with Rock Solid, remediations couldn’t be easier. We’ll dry out your basement, clean up and clear out debris, provide damage remediation, and finally, waterproof your basement to mitigate against the dangers of a future incident. We’ll also work with your insurer if you’re covered against damage from flooding — we accept insurance from all providers.

Cleanup and Water Removal
First thing’s first, we need to stop the problem at hand. If you have a leaky pipe, be sure to locate the shutoff valve and turn it to the off position to keep your basement from filling any further. If you’re dealing with flooding issues, we will use pumps to suck water out of the basement. Once any standing water has been removed, we’ll begin to dry out the space. We’ll open up windows to ventilate the space (weather permitting), and we’ll use fans and dehumidifiers to mitigate the moisture in your basement. This process will likely take several hours to fully dry out your basement.
At the same time, we will clean up any of your belongings that have been damaged. We can remove old boxes that have been stored in the basement, wet furniture, clothes that have been damaged by mold, etc. We’ll work with you to ensure that we save all possessions that can be saved without placing your basement at risk of growing more mold. From there, we can begin the damage remediation process.
While drying out your basement, we’ll begin to remove any damaged carpet and drywall. Unfortunately, most carpet cannot be salvaged in a flooding event, and drywall that has been saturated will be permanently damaged. We’ll cut out sections of drywall that have been soaked, and we’ll pull up any carpeting that could harbor mold. We want to ensure that your basement is cleared out, dry, and all of its surfaces are sanitary. From there, your space can be remodeled and waterproofed.
To prevent future incidents, we can waterproof your basement. We may recommend installing a sump pump (which will automatically pump out any water that could flood your basement). We can also provide waterproof coatings to keep your surfaces protected against the next incident. Our waterproofing services vary from home to home — depending on your demands and the design of your space — so we’ll speak with you to understand your plan for the space and we’ll waterproof the area accordingly. As experienced residential contractors, we can tackle all aspects of your rebuild, including installing new insulation in the walls, rebuilding sections of drywall, painting, and more.
